#1. Aglio e olio

This complicated Italian pasta recipe described as "pasta with garlic and olive oil". please read here how long does olive oil keep.

As the description suggests, the main flavouring we will use in this recipe is garlic and olive oil.

Besides dried Italian pasta, we need 1 tsp of chilli powder or flakes and 1/3 cup of chopped parsley.

Now let’s proceed to the cooking.

Boiling the pasta

There are different pasta types, but we will use strand pasta (spaghetti) in this recipe.

To start, in a large pan, boil a reasonable amount of water with 1 tsp of oil and a pinch of salt.

Do not put the pasta until you see the water is in a rolling boil. Boil the pasta until you achieve an al dente texture.

Secure a cup of water from where you boiled the pasta, then drain the remaining water. Do not rinse the pasta with water, as some do. Set the pasta aside.

Cooking the sauce

In a pan, heat the oil with medium heat. Add the minced garlic and continually stir it up.

Do that until the garlic turns golden brown. You may lower down the heat for you not to burn it.

After which, add the drained pasta together with the water you scooped earlier. Also, add the chilli powder or flakes and the parsley.

Toss everything to and fro until everything goes well mixed. It would be best if you serve it with parmesan cheese.

Well done, folks!

#2. Pasta alla pomarola

Have you ever heard such a name? Quite strange right? Well, it just refers to pasta with fresh tomato sauce.

In this recipe, it is still best to use spaghetti. I also suggest Rigatoni.

You'll need to half the six tomatoes in this recipe for the sauce. Also, prepare ¼ cup of olive oil, five crushed garlic cloves, and ¼ cup of basil.

Of course, you have to boil your pasta as we have done in the first recipe. Do scoop a cup of water from the boil for later purposes.

Then for the sauce, heat oil in a pan with medium heat. Once hot enough, stir in the garlic. Continue stirring for a minute.

Afterwards, put the tomatoes in. If you prefer to cook the tomatoes briefly such that you can still see it as close-to-whole, you can.

But if you want the tomatoes crushed as you cook it longer, that’s not a problem. Then add salt and pepper to taste. please read here how to cook pasta in microwave.

Pour the water you’ve set aside earlier into the pan, then add the pasta. Continually stir everything gently to prevent sticking to the pan.

Add salt and pepper to taste. If you are satisfied enough with how it tastes, you may now serve it with parmesan and basil.

#3. Pasta with tuna

Italians call this recipe spaghetti al Tonno. Tuna is the main ingredient here.

Just like the two recipes above, this recipe is best with strand pasta.

Other ingredients you need include 3 tbsp of olive oil, one large minced onion, ½ kilo crushed tomatoes, 130 grams of drained tuna, and your desired amount of chopped parsley.

To start, do the same thing regarding the pasta's boiling and set aside a water cup from there.

To cook the sauce, you have to heat the pan with medium heat, then add the olive oil. Add the garlic.

For 1 minute, continue to stir it. Afterwards, pour in the onions. You'll know that its ready if the onion becomes pale.

Then, add the tomatoes with half the water that you’ve set aside earlier. Continually stir everything for 3 minutes.

After this, you may now add the tuna. Add salt and pepper to taste. Let everything simmer for 2 minutes.

Now toss the pasta inside the pan with the remaining water from the boil. Turn your heat from medium to low before you mix everything.

Take note that generally, some restaurants don't serve seafood kinds of pasta with parmesan. However, you have a choice if you want.
